The Zanskar subdivision of the Kargil District is one of the most isolated and remotest corners of India which remains cut off from mainland India for almost half the year. This hidden gem of Ladakh is located towards the southwest corner of Leh sandwiched in between the Himalayas and the Zanskar Mountain Ranges, nestled at 13,154 ft.
